it’s officially summer! i guess maybe i should have picked out more beachy reads to celebrate, but there’s still july and august for that. i’ve only picked out three for june as i’ve just started a new job and the schedule for that right now is a little erratic. okay, let’s get to the goods:#1 The Rent Collector by Camron Wright full confession: i know virtually nothing about this novel–a friend loaned it to me and i trust her judgement. i most likely wouldn’t have picked this up, so hopefully it will be a pleasant surprise. #2 All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr by now everybody’s probably heard about this pulitzer prize winner. i’ve already started it, and thus far it’s totally living up to the hype. also Doerr is from Boise, ID, where i’m currently located so that’s pretty awesome.
#3 Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff this book was getting a lot of attention on YA tumblrs and bookstagrams a few months ago, so when i saw it on a display table at barnes and noble i picked it up. the style of this book is really cool. the way the plot plays out with full blacked out pages and emails is nothing like i’ve seen before.
and that’s what i’m hoping to get finished this month. i’d love to hear what’s on your june to be read list!
